Forno Pizza Faces Campus Backlash After Unveiling New Slogan “Oh Yeah, Put It In Your Dirty Little Mouth”

In a disgusting, but also kinda hot, move, Forno Pizza, the MOD replacement in Norris, has faced recent backlash amongst Northwestern students after unveiling their new slogan: “Oh yeah, put it in your dirty little mouth”.

The slogan was meant to be part of a wider rebrand organized by the company to convince Northwestern students that Forno was different from MOD. “We introduced revolutionary, industry-defining, cutting-edge practices to the college campus pizza scene such as by-the-slice dining for students who don’t want to feel like fat disgusting slobs after eating a whole 2-topping pizza by themselves,” said company representative Salvatore “The Cook” DiFiglia. “We were aiming for the same with the slogan. We may have missed a bit, though,” he elaborated.

“It’s just, I want to get to know Forno a bit better before we get into that sort of thing,” said one Northwestern freshman who wishes to remain anonymous (Anthony). “I mean, I’m new here and so is Forno, so I just feel like they need to build more of a rapport with their customers before getting into the verbal stage.” This sentiment seemed widespread, with most students feeling that Forno needs to show what it can do for them at this point in their relationship with the restaurant.

However, other students shared different opinions. Some say that they prefer it “kinda hot like that, like why did that kinda do something to me…” when referring to the temperature which Forno cooks at versus MOD. On the other side of the spectrum, some said that Forno “just isn’t big enough to do it for [them],” when referring to the fact that Forno’s by-the-slice option offers comparatively less pizza-per-dollar rather than ordering the whole pie. It seems that size does matter to students at Northwestern.

Anonymous sources (DiFiglia) also let Flipside in on Forno’s next marketing ploy. Although we are unable to divulge full details, it has been described as “fun,” “diverse,” and “surprisingly steamy.”
